The Science Show’s Nicola Terry visits building scientist David Crowther’s house in Cambridge. David explains how a heat pump,  underfloor heating and good insulation keep the house warm. And with news of the discovery of ‘another’ Mona Lisa, Roger Frost talks to local inventor Lawrence Robinson about the OSIRIS infra-red camera which can ‘see’ under the paint of paintings – with thanks to www.opusinstruments.com.  Nicola reviews ‘The Epigenetics Revolution’ by Nessa Carey, explaining that even the environment can affect how genes are expressed. And we also learn why tortoiseshell cats are nearly always female.
